Maintenance Technician

Job Function: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician must provide support to production while following all safety procedures and policies. Job Responsibilities: Read blueprints, machine drawings, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics schematics. Troubleshoots programmable controllers. Troubleshoots equipment with CNC pneumatics and hydraulic controls. Installs wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls. Adjusts and calibrates machines. Removes, replaces and/or repairs machinery. Takes work orders out of CMMS and completes in a timely manner. Completes parts requisitions in CMMS with correct part numbers and vendors. Ensures all safety, including PPE, and lockout / tagout procedures are followed. Initiates and participates in process improvements and is part of the implementation group. Initiates self-directed activities. Perform 5S requirements as assigned. Complies with preventative maintenance schedule on equipment and adheres to the published standards. Job Qualifications: Proven problem solving and organizational skills. Self-directed and initiative skills. Interpret schematics i.e. electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical. Technical support skills. Must be able to work well in teams with other department employees. Follow all safety and environment regulations. Familiar with 5S requirements and standards Experience Requirement: 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred. Electrical license or 5 years industrial electrical experience preferred. 5 years of controls experience preferred. Education Requirement: High School Diploma Technical School Training considered in lieu of experience. Working Conditions: Manufacturing environment – limited environmental controls Varying noise levels. Fast-paced work. Physical Demands: Standing: Most of the day ( more than 5 hours per day) Walking: Most of the day ( more than 5 hours per day) Bending: Occasionally Lifting: medium (less than 50 lbs.)
